Determination of 2-methylfuran and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran in catalytic hydrogenation reaction by standard curve method

Abstract
Standard curve method was established for determination of 2-methylfuran and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran in catalytic hydrogenation reaction by gas chromatography.In selected operating conditions,ethanol,2-methylfuran and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran were separated well.Maximum mass fractions of 2-methylfuran and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran were less than 21.00%.The linear relations between mass fractions and peak areas were good.The linear correlation coefficients were all above 0.999.The recovery of the two components were 95.72%-105.00%.The relative standard deviations were all less than 2.10%.The established standard curve method was used in catalytic hydrogen of 2-methylfuran to 2-methyltetrahydrofuran.The results obtained by this method were consistent with theoretical conclusions.The proposed method was simple, accurate and convenient for determining the contents of 2-methylfuran and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran in catalytic hydrogenation reaction.
