The application of CGP-1 catalyst in MIP unit in PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was introduced.The result showed that the catalyst inventory and fluidized state kept stable during the application period,and new catalyst added into the unit had no negative effect on operation.Although the feedstock was worse than before,conversion increased by 2.09 percentage,coke yield was almost invariant and coke selectivity improved.The yield of catalytic cracking gasoline increased by 0.95 percentage,the yield of LPG increased by 1.45 percentage,the yield of diesel decreased by 2.37 percentage,and the total liquid yield was almost invariant.

The special catalyst CGP-1 used in MIP-CGP process, which was prepared by novel technique, especially by the modification of matrix, can control the coke deposited location selectively, leading to the considerable activity of spent catalyst. It is proved by Ar+ sputtering experiment that carbon mainly deposits in the mesopores of matrix (2 61485;8nm) in catalyst CGP-1, leading to the active sites well protected, which is also in accord with the acidity analysis result that more strong acids are reserved in spent CGP-1 compared to the Cat-A used in this process before special CGP-1 used. Therefore, the activity of CGP-1 in the second reaction zone is obviously enhanced to produce clean gasoline and more propylene simultaneously.
