Exploration of Molecular Design of the Solid Acid Catalysts
Wu Yue

Abstract847)      PDF(pc) (418KB)(1316)       Save
Superior solid acid catalysts are needed for not only existing industrial processes but environmental consideration.Considering the similar chemical properties, the same influence on the mechanism and the rates of the key steps in acid catalysis of the analogous active sites in homogeneous and heterogeneous acid catalysts, the similarity and differences in behaviour of analogous active sites are widely discussed using Bronsted and Lewis acid sites as examplees on the basis of the modern theory of homogeneous acid catalysis.Far going analogous in the structures and the mechanisms of catalytic action of these active sites in various systems are further elucidated as well as the special role of solid lattice in the formation of active site in solid acid catalysts. The mechanism based on the formation of surface carbonium ion is also criticized.Lastly some suggestions are offered on designing more effective solid acid catalysts.

Abstract881)      PDF(pc) (146KB)(1179)       Save
A sulfur-tolerant deoxidizer is studied in this paper. Defferent gases such as H2, N2,Ar,and water-gas which contain 0.1%-0.5%(vol%) O2 are tested. The results indicate that residual oxygen in gas product is less than 0.3 ppm(V) with space velocity 2 000-30 000 h-1,reaction pressure 0.1-1.2 MPa and reaction temperature 298-473 K.Especially in gas containing H2S and H2,the residual oxygen is less than 0.1 ppm.For raw gases without H2,the capacity of deoxygenation can be up to 84 mL·g-1.A long time operation for over 1 000 houre showed that the deoxidizer is very good in sulfur-tolerant and temperature-resistant properties as well as lower production cost.It would be widely used in many chemical processes and other fields.

Promoting Effect for Ethylene Epoxidation by Chemical Modification of Electrolytic Silver
Peng Yinsheng; Zhang Shi

Abstract807)      PDF(pc) (173KB)(959)       Save
The promoting effect of Ba and Cs for ethylene epoxidation was investigated by the chemical modification of surface of electrolytic silver. In comparison with unmodified electrolytic silver surface,Ba modified surface is more active and Cs modified surface has higher selectivity at the expense of activity. These results are consistent with those of α-Al2O3 supported silver samples. So it is a single and reliable method for searching and studying the silver catalyst promoters.

This paper reported the results from industrial side-stream test of the new NT-13 low-temperature desulfurizing agent. Results from 500 hours of continuous operation of the industrial litre-scale raw particles showed that NT-13 desulfurizing agent can be used in industrial cases, with its excellent desulfuring performance and high resistance to process upset and penetrating desulfurizing capacity up to 10%.
