The research in and application of rare-earth containing catalysts for fertiliser industry were outlined,especially the performance of domestic rare-earth containing catalysts as well as the functioning mechanisms of rare earth in them. Research in the aspect both at home and abroad was also briefly described.

This paper briefly reviews the compositions and preparation methods of Ziegler-Natta type homogeneous hydrogenation catalyst.The performance and industrial application of the catalyst are also outlined.

［La］-AlZSM-5 zeolites were synthesized using lanthanum nitrate, sodium silicate and acidic aluminium sulfate as raw materials and n-butyl amine as templating agent.XRD and cell dimensions measurement showed that La atoms had entered zeolite skeleton and partly substituted Al atoms.The paper discussed the influence of different synthesis conditions on toluene alkylation reaction. Experimental results showed that the ［La］-AlZSM-5 zeolites synthesized under lower alkality,crystallation time of 80 hours and with templating agent C₄H₁₁N/SIO₂=0.045 exhibited high activity and selectivity on toluene alkylation reaction. Tolune alkylation reactions carried out over the zeolite catalysts resulted maximum PMEB selectivity of 94.81% and toluene conversion of 22.07%.

Cu/SiO₂ catalyst prepared by ion exchange method, compared with that from impregnation,shows higher stability for the dehydrogenation of methanol to methyl formate,with larger surface area of Cu,higher dispersity and smaller crystallines,which means that Cu crystallines on the support will not be easily aggregated during the reaction.

A process for recovery of rare earth from filter liquor of molecular seive manufacture by extraction was described,including laboratory experimental,pilot test results and Industrial performance.Comared with existing ammonia liquor route, the extraction process gives higher recovery, better product quality, less pollution and lower operating cost.

The dry semiwater gas with addition of carbon disulfide, which is practically used in industry,was used as gas supply for sulfiding experiments. By means of TG,DTA,SEM+WDX,SEM+EDX and XRD techniques,isothermal and temperature programmed sulfiding experiments of sulfur resistant shift catalyst Co-Mo-K/Al₂O₃,its different components and their combinations (γ-Al₂O₃,MoO₃, Co₃O₄, MoO₃/Al₂O₃, CoO/Al₂O₃, K₂CO₃/Al₂O₃, Co-Mo/Al₂O₃, Co-K/Al₂O₃ and Mo-K/Al₂O₃) were carried out. Effect of temperature on the sulfiding processs were investigated. Sulfiding performance of different components were compared. The roles of different components in the sulfiding processs were discussed.
